Psalm 23, NLT: The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need…He renews my strength…Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies…My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life…

At the end of the tunnel; the light. At the end of the storm; the sun. At the end our lives; the hope. Where one ended; the new has begun. As you walk through your own personal valley of shadows, it is hard to see the light, or the sun, or the hope. But in that place, Christ remains faithful and has not abandoned you. His hand extends toward you to help you up. His calming voice reminds you, “Have faith. I am here.” Fall into His arms. He will lift you up; He will hold you up; He will carry you through your valley of shadows. In the valley, it is hard to see the beauty of what lies beyond the darkness. But the beauty is there because God has made it so. What the adversary intends for evil, God can use for good. Jesus transforms sorrow into serenity, and pain into peace. “Come to me,” He tells you, “and I will give you rest.”
