Matthew 8:19-20, NIV: Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go." Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."

Though Iím not what you might call an alarmist; I am what I would call a realist. And since I very much consider myself a realist; I see myself a small member of a sea of many, who though realizing the return of Christ is a fact, we live distracted lives often going days without thought of the fact that the Master shall indeed return. But, what is it that has caused us to become so distracted? Perhaps we have forgotten what is so clearly, and frequently, brought forth through the scriptures--that being that this is not our home. We are first, and foremost, citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. Yet, we spend much of our time making comfortable homes for ourselves here. If we indeed choose to follow Christ, we are required to, at least in our hearts, give up anything we have here. If we would follow Him, we may find that like Him, we may have not where to lay our heads. Yet before we can ask the question of where will the Lord lead; we must first ask, ďAm I willing to follow, wherever He leads?Ē
