Letís talk shop. As in, what we do when we are looking for the perfect suit, or outfit, or looking for the right car, house, or place to go to school. It is something we do when we are searching for just the right thing--the only thing--that will truly meet our needs or wants. I think that we all know what it is like to want something enough to shop for it. Imagine what it would be like to seek God more than any of those things. What would our lives look like if we wanted God that much? Do we understand that as Christians, that is exactly how we ought to be? He is to be our greatest desire; that which we would give up all else to attain. Nothing should come before Him: not money, not material wealth, or personal comfort--no other gods. The sad truth is that many of us seek after so many other things; while the thing of greatest worth goes neglected or simply unnoticed.
