Deuteronomy 4:29, NIV: But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.

What do you suppose we will find, once we learn to fully seek Jesus? When we come to a place where we are ready to lay aside all we think we know—when we are willing to abandon our preconceived ideas, philosophies, and personal doctrines—when we can let go and utterly depend on God, what do you suppose we will discover? To seek Him in truth will require the release of my expectations. To seek Him in truth will demand the sacrifice of what I want. I cannot seek Him fully while refusing to let go of anything. All else must be forsaken. When I truly and sincerely seek Him without thought for self, that is when I will find Him. And that is when I will discover so much that is beyond my greatest expectation.
