Matthew 24:45-46, NIV:  "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?  It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.”

The end times will come. The Master will return—of this we can be certain. What we do in the meantime can mean more than we often realize. “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge…?” How do you see yourself today? Do you view yourself as a steward of the house of God? Do you anticipate His return and do what you can to keep His house ready and just the way He likes it? Consider this: that we are given much to use in service to our Master, Jesus. How will you use what He has given you to care for His house, His possessions, and His people while He is away? It will be a delightful day when He returns. And how great a blessing to finally see Him face to face. Does that thought bring you joy—or trepidation?
