Saving A Hundred
by Randy Chambers, 2015-05-01
Romans 5:7-8, NKJV: For scarcely for a righteous man will one
die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ
died for us.
Would you dare to die for a good person? Would you consider laying down your
life for a righteous man? If your laying down of your life meant that a hundred
others would live, would you give your life? Certainly we all want to be able to
do just that. Should the need arise, we hope to rise to meet the need. Perhaps,
however, we all hope that times will never be so desperate as to require such a
thing. And yet, the reality is that people are losing their lives
everyday—people who could be saved—people who need Jesus. Jesus died to himself,
giving up everything in order to live for God so others would gain life through
Him. Consider what might happen if we, His followers, were to be willing to give
up everything so that others would know Him. What if giving up your dreams,
desires, and ambitions meant that a hundred people would come to know Jesus?
What would you do?
