Within each of us who belong to God, we have a desire to love others even as we are loved. I believe prayer to be the most valuable tool we have to develop an attitude of love for those around us. As I begin my day with prayerful thoughts regarding others, I am reminded of their concerns. As I go through my day and my eyes see those I’ve prayed for, I cannot help but consider them in light of what God desires for them—I cannot help but consider how God wishes to use me in their lives. I often say I wish to be better at serving, loving, and witnessing. Prayer turns my thoughts off of my concerns and toward the concerns of those I will cross paths with.
