Psalm 119:105, KJV: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
How do you read the Bible? One bite at a time, perhaps. There is a lot there and sometimes it can seem a bit overwhelming. But just like in many things, its all in how you look at it. The first thing you must keep in mind is to consider Who you are listening to. If you listen to the wrong voice, it might tell you that the Bible is too difficult for you to understand. But God has provided you all you need. His Holy Spirit will lead you as you seek God in His Word. God wants to reveal Himself to you and has promised that He will reward those who diligently seek Him. Whoever seeks Him wholeheartedly will find Him. Remember that it takes time, so don’t be discouraged if you are not understanding everything. Keep at it. God tells us, “you will reap the reward, if you do not give up.” Be faithful to open His Word and trust God to bring the results. I promise...you will not be let down. The benefits are truly eternal.
