Psalm 23:4, NIV: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Iíve never lived in Alaska or anywhere else that far from the equator. I donít know what it is like to experience long periods of night that go on for months. While those who live there may be use to it; it is something I can only imagine would make me so very badly get tired of the dark, and hope for the light. Spiritual darkness is another matter, and it is something I am familiar with. In our walk with Christ, we are bound to occasionally find ourselves deep within the valley of the shadow of death. Spiritual darkness surrounds us and makes us so very badly hope for the light. As Christians, the light is always available to us just as Christ is within us. We need not fear as we walk through the valleys, but simply use everything at our disposal to bring the Light to life, and keep our focus on Him throughout the months of darkness.
