Psalm 85:6, NIV: Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

I fondly remember my years of youth, and being a part of a youth group in my church. They were days when passion could easily ignite during weekend retreats, movies about the end times, or summer church camp. The fires from such times flashed through my heart and brightly blazed. Although the fires dwindled, they left an eternal mark on my heart. From such times as those, the words from an old praise song still ring in my mind. “It only takes a spark, to get a fire going…” The song spoke of sharing God’s love and how it can be like a fire that spreads—how it can affect many, change lives and leave an everlasting mark on our lives. If only those passions of youth would spark anew. If only the fire would be rekindled in our hearts. Perhaps what Christ once ignited in our hearts would stir our hearts and lift our voices to want to “pass it on.”
